Briefly.

Why is everyone at the gym asking me why I’m sitting on the stationary bike? I’m going downhill, dude, mind your business.

Boy, what a turn the housing market has taken. The average rate for a 30-year fixed-rate mortgage climbed to 5.22% compared to one year ago where it was at 2.86%. Of homes that went into contract in July, 16% were cancelled compared to 12.5% one year ago. We all have our teams, don’t we? I am a hopeless Red Sox fan.

Just file it under “better late than never.” Bob Jablonski of Jersey City, N.J., was only 14 in 1947 when he checked out the book “Hitler,” by Oden Rudolph, from the James J.
