Briefly. (Hmmm)

Trivia #1: The last time the Dodgers played the Red Sox in October was in 1916. The Dodgers were in Brooklyn and known as the what – Robins, Braves, Cardinals, Ballers, Yorkers, Stripes?

Trivia #2: David Price joined three other Red Sox pitchers as the only ones in franchise history to pitch go at least 6 innings and allow 3 or fewer hits in consecutive postseason appearances. Name the other three – Josh Beckett, Jim Lonborg, Pedro Martinez, Derek Lowe, Curt Schilling, Bruce Hurst.

Trivia #3: What was the greatest Dodgers team of all-time?

Boogie Mist. That’s what it’s called. Natural saline mist for stuffy noses.

Nice shutout by Tuukka last night. What? Tuukka didn’t play??

Speaking of the Bruins, the Celtics can’t throw the ball in the ocean lately.

Yadier Molina won MLB’s Roberto Clemente Award for he embodies the humanitarian spirit. A prestigious award indeed. Vadi was busy coaching the Puerto Rican National Team and couldn’t accept the award in person. Couldn’t they have presented the award on a night when he was available?? Too bad.

Overthinking? Dave Roberts chose to sit his top four homerun hitters in both games one and two of the World Series because they are all lefties and they would have been facing lefties. DOH! That is a fist, BTW, in major league history – benching your top four homerun hitters.

You can have my taco.

Fox went behind the Green Monster several times during game two. They also showed a view from a camera, behind the wall, that had a view out to left field. I don’t know if I have EVER seen footage of a game through that camera. Why is that??

The Indiana Supreme Court on Wednesday ruled against three former college football players who said fantasy sports companies violated their right of publicity by using their names and statistics without consent and compensation.

So the Red Sox celebrated the 2004 season by inviting members back to throw out ceremonial first pitches in Game 2. Pedro, Ortiz, Kevin Millar, Wakefield, Varitek, Keith Foulke and Alan Embree. Curt Schilling was not invited and the Sox are hearing it. Not from Curt, but everyone else.

Andrew Benintendi is just third Red Sox player to get four hits in a World Series game. He is also the fourth left-handed hitter to get three hits off Clayton Kershaw in a game and 44thleft-hander to get at least three hits off Kershaw in his career.

Classic horror flicks have been running all day for a couple of weeks on AMC. Check ‘em out. (gonna be a wash-out locally tomorrow. Just sayin’)

How can a player, Cincinnati’s Vontaze Burfict, be fined $112,000 for plays in a game where he wasn’t even flagged? They should fine the refs.

Go Irish!

Elon Musk’s first tunnel is set to open in less than two months. The 3.6 mile test tunnel will carry people between Dodger Stadium and nearby metro stations in under four minutes. Now, if I’m going to ride anywhere in an underground tunnel, I don’t think doing so in California would be my first choice.

Useless information, supposed to fire my imagination: “1 in 4 Americans has a close family member they haven’t seen in a decade.”

R.I.P. Dorcas Reilly (92) – She created the green bean casserole. Really.

“You used to think that it was so easy
You used to say that it was so easy
But you’re trying, you’re trying now
Another year and then you’d be happy
Just one more year and then you’d be happy
But you’re crying, you’re crying now”
