Briefly.
Where to start… On to the World Series!
Trivia #1: We all know (?) it was Dave Roberts who stole second base in the 9th inning in game 4 of the 2004 ALCS which started the Red Sox’ historic comeback. Who was he pinch-running for?

Not only did the Red Sox sweep the defending champs on their home field, they went 5-0, on the road, against two 100-win teams.
The Sox are 81-15 when scoring first this season.
David Price had one, three-ball count last night. Also, last night was the Sox’ first playoff game where both starters pitched in the 6thinning.
Eight of ten who were watching TV in Boston last Sunday night were tuned to either the Red Sox or Patriots. Not sure what the other two were watching…
I’ll admit it. I crashed last night during the game after staying up the night before. The World Series schedule is worse. This job-thing totally screws with my social life!
Talk to me about the Bears’ defense on Monday.
I don’t know whether to file this under “this week’s sign of the apocalypse” or “what the…” – Kristen Bell, who plays the voice of Anna in Disney’s hit animated film “Frozen”, is concerned about the message “Snow White” sends to her two daughters. “Don’t you think it’s weird that the Prince kisses Snow White without her permission ? Because you can’t kiss someone if they’re sleeping.” Bell, also expressed concerns about the part when Snow White eats an apple from the witch — a stranger.
I heard a stat that didn’t sound quite right so I’m not going to state it here. Ah, what the hell. The Green Bay Packers’ +/- in points scored during the first three quarters of all of Aaron Rodgers starts is minus 91. In the 4th quarter it is +105.
The Celtics are still 1-0. They played Tuesday and play their second game tomorrow. The schedule is almost as bad as the NHL!
I had to read it: “Florida suspect, 22, allegedly attacked mother with sausages.” First, he demanded his mother cook him dinner. When she said she was too busy, he began to cook himself, sausages. When she accidently bumped into him, he pelted her with the sausages, hitting her in the eye.
There’s a lot of talk of what the Sox lineup will look like next week with the pitcher needing to bat. Apparently, Mookie takes infield practice every day. Interesting.
R.I.P. – Paul Allen (65), co-founder of Microsoft. DYK: Allen was an excellent guitar player and enjoyed doing covers of Jimi Hendrix songs. Allen was from Seattle and founded the Museum of Pop Culture which has numerous Jimi Hendrix artifacts including, as the museum notes, “the most iconic guitar in rock ‘n’ roll – the white Stratocaster that Hendrix played in Woodstock.”
