Briefly.
Interviewer: “How would you describe yourself?”

The teacher taught to the class that some words are pronounced with a silent ‘g’ like gnat, gnaw and sign. And on that same day, poor Angus got a new nickname.
To me, that Patriots loss the other night was incredibly deflating. They really need to right the ship next week and get their season going in the right direction.
Speaking of the Patriots… newly acquired wide receiver Romeo Doubs had more drops than receiving yards on Thursday. Get a new helmet!
Useless information supposed to fire my imagination: LIV Golf filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in New Jersey, putting its current business model on hold after five years of operations. The filing follows the early conclusion of its 2026 season in Indianapolis after its primary financial backer withdrew support. (I know I’ve commented several times on LIV Golf but, in the end, I don’t care about it.)

Someday we probably won’t remember what we shot, but we’ll remember the courses we played, the trips we took, the beers we drank, the laughs we had and the people standing beside us. That might be the best past about golf. (Ahhh, might be???)
Speaking of golf, I’m sorry but you won’t hear from me next Friday as I’ll be gallivanting, and golfing, in North Conway, NH for 3 days. I’ll catch up with you all the following Friday.
This week’s sign of the apocalypse: Three young novice climbers were rescued last week after becoming stranded while descending Mount Shasta (CA) during a poorly prepared trip that relied heavily on AI-generated advice.
Gender Reveal parties, it’s a thing. I’ve never been to one, but have heard all about them, and have seen some pretty funny videos. Having said that, there’s no truth to the rumor that in Lawrence, MA, and other cities across the country, they have Father Reveal parties. Yes, four or more men line up, all sweating profusely, until the doctor on hand announces the results of a DNA test. Surprise!!!!

Be careful out there. (It’s a jungle!)

Finally, if you’ve never experienced a “life is short” moment in your life, congratulations. You are in a small group and are extremely lucky. Whether or not you have had such a moment before (or several), then get up and have yourself a day. Life can be incredibly short and end with little or no warning! I love you guys…
