The research highlights the growing concern over polypharmacy, the medical term for taking five or more daily prescriptions, and its long-term effects on aging populations. (Looks as though I’m OK as it refers to “older adults” as age 65. Phew!)

This week’s sign of the apocalypse: Multiple eyewitnesses say a fight between dueling 15U parents from Texas and Louisiana boiled over into an all-out fistfight at a so-called World Series event in Laurel, MS. Children could be heard screaming. Some cried. One even took what is believed to be a cleat and threw it at a parent.
