R.I.P. Bill Withers (81) – American singer-songwriter and musician. Withers won three Grammys and was nominated for six more. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2015.
R.I.P. Tom Dempsey (73) – Former New Orleans Saints kicker (he only played two seasons) kicked a then-record 63-yard field goal that has since only been surpassed 5 times. The current record is 64 yards and the previous record had been 56 yards! DYK: Dempsey was born not only with no toes on his right foot, but also no fingers on his right hand. He died last Saturday after a bout with coronavirus and since 2013 suffered from Alzheimer’s as well as dementia.
