Briefly. (Not today, I woke up early)
Lead me not into temptation… oh, who am I kidding? Follow me, I know a shortcut.

Go ahead and tell me that star in the sky is Jupiter, Venus, whatever. Please, they all look the same. “Ahhh, that’s Jupiter up there! That’s awesome!” Ya, OK.
Speaking of football, what’s with the female drummers being featured in pre-game intros? We have Cindy Blackmon playing a classic Phil Collins lick on Monday Night and Carrie Underwood on “Waiting All Day for Sunday Night.”
DYK: Carrie Underwood also plays the guitar, piano and the harmonica?
Useless information supposed to fire my imagination: Carrie Underwood also plays the guitar, piano and the harmonica?
The NBA in-season tournament. I just don’t get it.
They said it: “FBI, that’s Foot Ball Intelligence.” – NFL analyst Steve Smith Sr. What a moron.
Speaking of MNF, did you see Geno Smith last night on TNF? This is certainly unfair but… is it me or does he look like a homeless, drug addict?
Speaking of MNF, in an NFL-first, the league has booted the Patriots/Chiefs from their scheduled Monday Night game on December 18 moving it to Sunday at 1pm, replacing it with the Eagles/Seahawks. What a kick in the nuts! Now as a Patriot fan, I see it and frankly would rather go to a 1pm Sunday game than a Monday night game, but Kansas City fans, who no doubt have plane reservations have to likely reschedule their trips. I’m rooting for the Patriots anyway but now more than ever!
Spotify came out with its top 5 most streamed songs on 2023. Not surprising, I didn’t stream any of them, even once.
WTF: Mac Jones has been pulled in 4 of his 11 starts this season, a 36.4% clip. So, when you watch the Pats, you have a better chance of Jones pulled than you do of seeing him convert any particular third down.

This week’s sign of the apocalypse: Frank Tammaro, a 94-year-old Army veteran, loved the senior center he’d called home for five years until he was told to find somewhere new to live. “I felt horrible, it’s no joke getting thrown out of a house.” Months later, after two moves and an injury that put him in the hospital, the senior was living with his daughter when he learned migrants were moving into his old residence, free of charge.
Did you catch the end of last weekend’s Alabama/Auburn game? 32 seconds to go, fourth-and-goal from the 31. Auburn only rushed two guys, two! Alabama quarterback Jalen Milroe takes his time and completes a game-ending touchdown pass. You can’t rush only two guys!
R.I.P. Rosalyn Carter (96) – Former First Lady Rosalynn Carter, a passionate champion of mental health, caregiving, and women’s rights. I’m a week late here. She died peacefully, with family by her side. Mrs. Carter was married for 77 years to Jimmy Carter, the 39th president of the United States and the 2002 Nobel Peace Prize recipient, who is now 99 years old.
R.I.P. Heinz Alfred “Henry” Kissinger (100) – One of the most influential and controversial diplomats of the 20th century.

It is difficult to explain just how much fun one can have while raking leaves… on a windy day.
